On July 3, in Tbilisi, the Georgian Gambling Association (GGA) and the Association of Gaming Businesses of Kazakhstan (SRO) signed a memorandum of cooperation. The heads of the respective associations, George Mamulaishvili and Galimjan Duambekov, signed the bilateral document. Representatives from the Governments of Georgia and Kazakhstan attended the signing ceremony.
To enhance mutual cooperation and foster close ties, Miraz Tulebaev, a high-ranking official of culture and sports in Kazakhstan, along with Zhuldiz Erkimbaeva, Head of the Monitoring and Analysis Department of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, visited Georgia on a working visit alongside Galimjan Duambekov. During their two-day stay, the delegation from Kazakhstan held productive meetings with member companies of the Georgian association.
In addition, the Association of Gambling Businesses of Georgia and the Kazakhstan delegation held working meetings with representatives from the Government of Georgia, including high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Finance and Revenue Service.
The main objective of the memorandum is to implement mutually beneficial projects, promote responsible gaming principles, and develop various mechanisms. The signatories express their readiness to collaborate and work together on joint projects related to the gaming industry. They aim to enhance the business environment in both Kazakhstan and Georgia, as well as the wider region. The memorandum also entails organizing joint conferences, lectures, and educational events.
The memorandum is a result of the desire for mutual cooperation that emerged during a conference held in Kazakhstan, where Giorgi Mamulaishvili, the head of the Georgian Association, was one of the speakers. The cooperation and partnership between the associations of Kazakhstan and Georgia are the central focus of the memorandum, aiming to strengthen bilateral work and pursue common interests and goals. These include communication and cooperation with gaming business operators, promoting shared principles and missions, cooperating in law enforcement, supporting educational events on responsible gaming, exchanging recommendations for gambling market operators, creating favorable conditions for the international gaming business market, and sharing experiences between the parties.
According to George Mamulaishvili, the head of the administration of the Georgian Gambling Association, the memorandum will enhance cooperation between the two countries. Regular exchange visits between the associations will be encouraged, fostering a healthier business environment and a commitment to responsible gaming practices.
