Kyrgyz President Masadir Zhaparov has signed into law the bills: "On Gambling in the Kyrgyz Republic" and "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts on Gambling Activities".
According to the press service of the President, the purpose of the laws is to attract additional resources to the state budget by creating favorable conditions for investments.
According to the new regulations, legal entities, including those with foreign capital, will have the right to open a casino. Relevant licenses are issued by the authorized state body for a period of ten years. Licenses will be issued on a fee-for-service basis as determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The law, among other things, states that the play facility cannot be located in the buildings of kindergartens, schools, universities or other educational institutions, as well as in medical and cultural institutions or residential buildings.
Gambling establishments will not be open to anyone under the age of 21.
We remind you that on June 22, the Kyrgyz Parliament in Jogorkukeneshma approved the draft law on casino activity permits.
