On April 19, 2024, the Georgian Gambling Association (GGA) organized a significant workshop in Tbilisi to discuss the new law "On Personal Data Protection," which came into effect on March 1, 2024. The event aimed to provide detailed insights and guidance on the new regulations to members of the gambling business community.
Nikoloz Popiashvili, the head of the Personal Data Protection Service, led the workshop. He provided a comprehensive overview of the changes and innovations introduced by the new law, emphasizing their importance for compliance within the technology and business sectors. His presentation highlighted the need for businesses to adapt their internal processes to meet the new legal standards.
