Milica Mitic, Founder & CEO of LUCKLANDIA – an affiliate working with iGaming operators WW – shares practical insights for GGA Expert Insights about the AI importance for affiliate marketing.
As online gambling evolves, we should explore how affiliate marketing is evolving and the growing role of AI in shaping performance strategies.
Q: Do you agree that those who don’t use AI in affiliate marketing will fall behind?
Yes. The intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and iGaming affiliate marketing is becoming increasingly significant. The iGaming industry, known for its rapid growth and technological innovation, is now at the forefront of a digital revolution driven by AI. This revolution is reshaping how affiliates operate, strategize, and succeed in an ever-evolving landscape.
AI’s advancements in recent years have opened new doors for businesses across industries, and iGaming is no exception. From enhancing data analytics to personalizing marketing campaigns, AI is proving to be a game-changer. For iGaming affiliates, the integration of AI offers unprecedented opportunities to optimize the strategies, improve targeting, and ultimately drive higher revenue.
Q: What do you think are the key areas that AI is transforming iGaming affiliate marketing?
The key areas AI is transforming iGaming affiliate marketing are AI-powered analytics, predictive modeling, personalized marketing strategies, smarter Ad campaigns, content creation and SEO.
The ability to analyze and act on data swiftly and accurately is crucial. AI-powered analytics provides advanced data analytics and machine learning capabilities for better targeting. It helps affiliates continuously optimize marketing efforts by analyzing and adapting to new data trends in real-time. This dynamic approach to data analysis not only improves the accuracy of targeting but also increases the efficiency of marketing campaigns, leading to higher conversion rates and better ROI.
Another powerful application of AI in iGaming affiliate marketing is predictive analytics. AI can predict future player behavior with remarkable accuracy. This predictive capability allows affiliates to anticipate player needs, preferences, and actions, enabling them to tailor their marketing efforts accordingly. It helps deploying targeted interventions—such as promotions or personalized offers—that encourage positive actions and mitigate negative ones.
Then, the personalization strategies by analyzing factors such as betting habits, game choices, and even social media activity, AI can build a comprehensive profile of each player. This profile serves as the foundation for personalized marketing campaigns that speak directly to the player’s interests.
Q: What would be the weak points of using AI in affiliate marketing?
Some of the weak points I can see in SEO and content creation. Content velocity matters. AI helps teams publish more frequently, with stronger SEO structure and consistent compliance across all content types. On the other hand, although AI mass content creation looks plausible, some parts are missing.
Regarding the legal side, AI content can be legally dubious. Then, regarding the competition. For brands who are offering the same games and same sporting odds as their rivals, they have to rely on other things too to get ahead.
And the most important when talking about the content, the content needs to be working towards profitable end goals – FTDs – not just ramping up content for the sake of it. When it comes to FTD-driven content, the AI content often lacks this point.
Of course, not all brands consider the things mentioned above. It’s important for those who need to stay ahead of their competitors, prioritising safer market expansion and staying on the right side of regulations.
Q: How are you adapting your approach to AI in iGaming marketing?
AI platforms ultimately help in iGaming marketing, campaigns, content, compliance, and analytics are seeing stronger returns, more agility, and better personalisation.
But success requires balance. AI is powerful, but human oversight remains essential to ensure brand tone, legal safety, and creative resonance. AI is an enabler that accelerates the ability to deliver timely and relevant marketing.
In a high-speed industry like iGaming, this is no longer a competitive edge—it’s becoming a necessity, but there will always be a need for human management and optimization in this process.
