15 Aug, 2024

At the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting took place between representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan and the Head of the Georgian Gambling Association Mr. George Mamulaishvili to discuss potential avenues for collaboration between Georgia and Kazakhstan. The focus of the meeting was on exploring best practices and opportunities in the gambling sector.

The Kazakh side expressed its strong interest in establishing partnerships with Georgia, emphasizing the mutual benefits of potential joint ventures and investments. Kazakhstan's stable investment climate, sustainable economic growth, developed transport infrastructure and visa-free regime make it an attractive center for international business.

The key point of the meeting was to discuss Georgia's successful experience in regulating and developing the gambling industry. Representatives from Kazakhstan showed great interest in studying the Georgian regulatory framework and adapting its best practices to improve their own legislation. The use of effective Georgian practices is seen as an important step towards creating a more competitive and regulated gaming sector in Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the meeting a presentation of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan was presented, which describes the current state of the gambling business in Kazakhstan, the regulatory and legal framework, and potential opportunities for investment and business development in new gaming zones. The Kazakh delegation stressed that sharing experiences with Georgia could help create a more effective regulatory environment and attract foreign investment.

George Mamulaishvili, in turn, shared valuable knowledge and experience, highlighting the importance of working together internationally to successfully manage changes in the gambling industry. These efforts set a foundation for mutual growth and progress, demonstrating the value of global cooperation in addressing today's gambling challenges.

The Kazakh Embassy has stressed their eagerness to engage with Georgian investors for a more detailed dialogue on potential cooperation. This move is in line with Kazakhstan's broader strategy to attract foreign investment and develop its tourism and sports sectors.

Meeting with George Mamulaishvili has marked a new stage in strengthening economic ties between Georgia and Kazakhstan. Both parties are optimistic about the prospects of future collaboration and strive for the successful implementation of their plans. With the global expansion of the gambling industry, cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan could lead to significant benefits for both countries, fostering a strong partnership and strengthening bilateral relations.
