After the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky spoke about the legalization of gambling in the country, at the initiative of the head of the Kherson regional state administration, Yuri Gusev, the Ukrainian delegation held the first Ukrainian gambling forum in Kherson, where members of the Georgian Gambling Business Association were invited; Zaur Beruashvili, Giorgi Mamulaishvili, Zurab Erkomaishvili, Giorgi Katamadze. They shared their Georgian experience with their Ukrainian counterparts - how effectively the gambling business can work for the economy of the country and a particular region.
Representatives of the Georgian Gambling Business Association talked about the statistics in the country, including 136 operating operators, which are in healthy competition with each other. It was also noted that Georgia is a regional hub of the gambling business and therefore a center of tourist attraction. Especially from Turkey and Arab countries. Also discussed were high staff salaries, local and state budget payments, transparency, new hotels and improved infrastructure.
Giorgi Mamulaishvili, a member of the Board, represented the Georgian Gambling Business Association at the discussion panel. He spoke about the importance of cooperation between operators and the state and the need to develop joint projects aimed at increasing business transparency. "This industry is always associated with a dark turnover, so operators are particularly interested in transparency." - Mamulaishvili noted.
