The Ukrainian Gambling Business Association aims to create a positive image of the legal gambling business, increase public awareness of the industry and actively cooperate with government agencies. The head of the Gambling Association of Ukraine, Anton Kuchukhidze spoke to LoginCasino.com.ua about this.
Among the first members of the association are: experts in the field, media representatives, political scientists and lawyers. Cooperation has started with potential licensed entities, gambling operators. Anton Kuchukhidze believes that only those companies that will become real operators on the territory of Ukraine will agree to cooperation. Active cooperation with the gambling business is a prerequisite for the successful operation of the organization, the creation of a transparent and stable market.
"The representatives of the illegal business continue to spread myths against the parliamentarians and deputies who support the legal gambling business and legalization. It is quite logical that the population does not have a common opinion about legalization - good or bad. The association considers its main function to be to maintain this year’s achievement. "Together with the specialists, we were able to provide truth and expert information to the public and the media," said Anton Kuchukhidze.
The head of the association believes that the discrediting of the business will continue even after it is fully legalized. Anton Kuchukhidze names the representatives of the shadow sector as the main initiators of spreading such misinformation. "Underground gambling organizers and providers continue to fight against the legal gambling market. In such a case, the state and business need qualified support. "
Another key mission of the Ukrainian Gambling Business Association, according to its head, is data collection and market analysis, as well as active cooperation with state bodies. The members of the association plan to present the results of the research to the working groups of the Committee on Financial Affairs and Customs Policy and the Ukrainian Gambling Regulator.
The Ukrainian Gambling Business Association is made up of experts who have previously studied the Ukrainian gambling market and are therefore well versed in licensing, certification and taxation issues, as well as internal processes. The association is ready to share this experience with others in order to create a solid foundation for the market. Anton Kuchukhidze presented his candidacy as a member of the Board of Experts, the creation of which began with the profile of the regulator.
In the longer term, the Ukrainian Gambling Business Association plans to go international and collaborate with other organizations of the same profile. Anton Kuchukhidze believes that until the Ukrainian market becomes more organized and the association defines the principles of work more specifically, it is important to establish intermediate dialogues with various associations.
Recall that the issuance of gaming licenses in Ukraine is scheduled for December 15. The composition of the regulator is already known and the agency is in the final stage of developing the gaming market at full capacity.
